Fifty DJs, two public signals, one argument. The Power Index is the house’s tracked ranking: scored, refreshed monthly in place, movement marked. The methodology is printed below because a scoreboard you can’t audit is just an opinion with a spreadsheet accent.
Methodology, in full
Two signals, no more. One: public streaming reach. The artist’s monthly-listener count from their public Spotify profile, captured on refresh day, source and “as of” stamped per entry. Two: verified 2026 headline bookings-to-date: top-billed appearances counted once per festival across a fixed, published list of ten.
The formula. On each refresh both signals are normalised 0–100 across the fifty (min–max), then: Power = 0.5 × streaming + 0.5 × bookings. Ties break toward the higher bookings score, then toward the house’s Top 100 order. Nothing editorial lives inside the score. The editorial decision was the roster and the festival list, both printed here.
The fixed festival list, 2026: Tomorrowland, Coachella, Ultra Miami, EDC Las Vegas, Creamfields, Awakenings, Sónar, Time Warp, EXIT and Parklife, public lineup announcements only. Glastonbury is excluded because 2026 is a fallow year; nobody scores a festival that isn’t happening. Known blind spot, admitted in print: residencies aren’t festivals, so an Ibiza institution can sit low here while owning every Saturday on the island. The metric is a lens, not the world.

The Long List
Each index begins with a brief and a longlist three times the published length. Submissions, scouts, and members.

The Visit
Nothing makes the index without a visit, a verified guest, or a documented reservation in the last twelve months.

The House
Editors weigh atmosphere, value, and the quality of the room. Stars and rosettes are noted but rarely decisive.
- iv.
The Cull
Entries that have softened, scaled, or stopped answering the phone are removed. We re-rank, we don't pad.
