From the house.
A mountain village is best seen from somewhere warm. Emma Tysinger’s The Window Seat looks out through a dark window frame onto a snowy street of timber buildings and parked cars below a steep wooded slope. Snow from the Terrace is the view from a chalet terrace: snow on the furniture and the rail, more chalets fading into the weather.
In The Valley Below, a red cable car crosses above snowy roofs while the mountain moves in and out of cloud. David Szabo comes into the village by car: in Through the Village the street narrows past an open car towards a green-roofed tower, with mountains beyond; in Snow Line a timber-clad building curves above a white car as the snow falls.
Choosing your photograph.
The Valley Below and Snow from the Terrace are wide and suit a living room or the wall above a desk. The Window Seat, Through the Village and Snow Line are portrait, for a hallway or the wall beside a door.
Timber, snow and stone suit wood frames and pale walls. Snow from the Terrace pairs well with a brighter ski photograph for a change of pace. Each photograph is printed to order on 308gsm Hahnemühle Photo Rag, unframed or in a black, white or wood frame.
