Emma Tysinger
Paris-based photographer Emma Tysinger follows the seasons from café terraces and Mediterranean coves to palm-lined shores and the snowy Alps.
The photographer’s workFrom the house.
Emma Tysinger’s winter photographs move between open snow and densely patterned trees. Lift cabins cross the forest, paragliders sit above the slopes and the valley appears beyond the terrace. The snow gives the frame its space; the smaller details give it scale.
Choosing your photograph.
A landscape photograph with a broad horizon suits a wider wall. Portrait views of forest and lift lines bring height to a narrow space. Compare the quietest compositions with those containing cabins or figures, then choose how much detail you want the room to hold.
