From the house.

Mist does what a photographer cannot: it separates one ridge from the next. Jordan Cahill’s series follows it through dark mountain country. In First Light and Last Light a band of golden mist catches the sun between the hills; in Blue Hour Ridge the same glow sits beneath a deep blue sky. Open Distance and Ridge Line turn colder, layers of blue and violet with white mist lying in the valleys.

Through the Valley adds a human scale: a straight road runs into blue haze past scattered buildings and fields. Emma Tysinger’s Above the Weather is the view from higher up, cloud filling the valley while the snowfields above it stay in sunlight.

Choosing your photograph.

The series works as a set. Last Light, Open Distance, Ridge Line and Through the Valley are wide, made for the wall above a sofa, a bed or a long sideboard. First Light and Blue Hour Ridge are portrait and suit a narrower wall, or a pair either side of a wide one.

Choose gold or blue first. The gold photographs bring warmth to darker rooms with wood and natural fabrics; the blue ones sit well in cooler, lighter rooms. Each is printed to order on 308gsm Hahnemühle Photo Rag, unframed or in a black, white or wood frame.
