Golden hour is short, which is why it is worth keeping. Jordan Cahill’s Carnivore Electra holds a low orange sun over the sea, its light breaking across the water. In The Long Hawaiian Evening, Emma Tysinger keeps the palms dark while the light draws long shadows across a coastal lawn, the sea a pale band beyond.
In the mountains the hour arrives as mist. First Light, Last Light and Blue Hour Ridge catch a band of gold between dark ridges. Still Water is the minutes after: pink and violet over open water, a low strip of land holding the horizon.
