Materials and production
Paper
Hahnemühle Photo Rag, 308gsm. 100% cotton, acid- and lignin-free, with a smooth matte surface. The cotton rag museums reach for when they want a print to outlast the wall it hangs on.
Print process
Giclée, archival pigment inkset, Hahnemühle-certified workflow. Made to order on a calibrated wide-format printer, rated for a century-plus of lightfast life under normal indoor display.
Colour
Colour-matched against the artist's reference proof before the edition opens, then checked again against the proof on every print.
Frame
Sustainably sourced oak moulding, hand-finished in the UK. A 20mm face on Collectors through Signature; a deeper box profile on Gallery and Grand for the wall presence the scale asks for. Black and white finishes are hand-lacquered on the same oak base.
Glazing
Anti-reflective acrylic glazing. Optically clean, true colour, 66% UV block to slow fade under indoor light. Lighter than glass and safer in transit, fitted as standard on every framed piece.
Mount
FSC-certified, conservation-quality window mount, bevel-cut, hinged to an acid-free FSC backing board. Choose a Window Mount for the gallery breathing-room, or Full Bleed to push the picture to the rebate.
Hardware
D-rings and braided picture wire fitted before dispatch. Out of the carton and onto the hook, no tools needed beyond a spirit level.
Authenticity
Numbered to the edition on the reverse. A house certificate of authenticity ships with every piece, naming the artist, edition size, paper, and date of print.
Shipping and returns
Production
14 working days from order to doorstep, every size. Nothing sits in a warehouse, the print, the mount and the frame are made for you, in that order. A tracking link follows the moment your piece is on its way.
UK delivery
Free, every size. Sent by a tracked, insured next-working-day courier with an hour delivery window by SMS or email, Monday to Friday.
Worldwide
We ship globally, delivery on us. Europe is typically 3–5 working days after dispatch by air, the rest of the world a little longer. Duties and local taxes are payable on arrival, calculated by your country's customs.
Packaging
Cardboard corner protectors on every edge of the frame, biodegradable bubble wrap, and a recycled-plastic foam sleeve, all inside a rigid double-walled carton. Recyclable, largely plastic-free, no foam pellets.
Returns
Made-to-order, so no change-of-mind returns once production has started. If a piece arrives damaged, email a photo within 30 days of delivery and we'll replace it free, both ways.
Care, bespoke and questions

Care and handling

Looked after properly, a giclée on cotton rag will hold its colour and depth for more than a century. A few simple habits keep it that way.

Hanging
D-rings and picture wire arrive pre-fitted. For the cleanest sightline, hang with the centre of the image around 150cm from the floor, the gallery convention most rooms read best at.
Light
Avoid direct sunlight, halogen spots, and uplighters. Even behind glazing, prolonged exposure shortens the life of any work on paper. Diffused daylight and warm gallery lighting are ideal.
Environment
Display away from radiators, fireplaces, and steamy bathrooms. A stable 18–22°C and 40–60% relative humidity preserves both paper and oak.
Cleaning
Dust the glazing with a dry, lint-free microfibre cloth. For smudges, lightly dampen with distilled water and wipe gently, never spray cleaner directly onto the frame or the acrylic.
Handling
Lift from the sides of the frame with clean, dry hands. Never touch the face of an unframed print, cotton-rag papers mark easily and the marks are hard to undo.

Questions, answered

Why this price?
A numbered limited edition, not a poster run. Hahnemühle Photo Rag printed to order, hand-framed in oak, shipped insured. The price covers the slow craft, the conservation materials that hold tone for a century, and 1.5% of every profit to landscape conservation.
Choosing finish
Natural oak for warmth and grain; black for graphic, contemporary rooms; white for galleries and clean interiors, hand-lacquered on the same oak base. A window mount gives the picture breathing room; full bleed pushes the image to the rebate. Unframed if you'd rather frame locally.
Proof of craft
Every spec on this page is verifiable on request. Each piece carries a house certificate of authenticity with the edition number, paper, and date of print.
The artist
Every photograph is selected with the maker, colour-matched against their reference, and approved before the edition opens.
The Foundation
