The 24th Bendura Bank Snow Polo World Cup arrives in Kitzbühel from 15–17 January, continuing a tradition that has been part of the town's winter calendar since 2003.
The Alpine social calendar
The appeal isn't only what's happening on the pitch.
Snow polo sits neatly within the particular world of Kitzbühel: historic streets, mountain hotels, long lunches, serious skiing and a social calendar that doesn't disappear when the sun goes down.
It is sport, certainly.
But it is also part of the rhythm of the town.
January, properly done
The Snow Polo World Cup falls just before Hahnenkamm week, when Kitzbühel reaches full winter volume.
