The lake
Every winter, St. Moritz does something that still feels slightly improbable.
It puts a polo field on its frozen lake.
The Snow Polo World Cup returns from 22–24 January 2027, bringing high-goal polo to the ice against the mountains of the Engadin.
The setting
Beyond the sport, there is the landscape.
Snow-covered peaks. The frozen lake. Horses moving across the ice. St. Moritz rising behind it all.
It is one of those events where the location is almost as important as the fixture itself.
The social weekend
Polo here has always been as much about the people around the field as those on it.
Hospitality, food, hotels and the particular winter atmosphere of St. Moritz all become part of the weekend.
A sporting event, certainly.
But also a very good excuse to spend three days in the Engadin.
