Euro summer photography prints.

A euro summer is a long summer in the south of Europe, taken slowly: a beach with its parasols in rows, a lane too narrow for cars, lunch under an awning that runs into the afternoon. Emma Tysinger’s summer photographs follow it along the French Riviera, the Croatian coast, Greece and Lake Como.

On the Côte d’Azur, pale umbrellas line a beach beneath a cliff in The Umbrella Committee, white hulls sit moored in Tied for the Afternoon, and an orange façade in Nice fills The Sunny Side of Nice. In Croatia a red scooter waits at the end of a stone passage, and a staircase drops down a cliff to the sea. In Greece, bougainvillea spills over a white street. By Lake Como, a striped awning opens over a café beneath the trees.

Choosing your photograph.

Every photograph here is portrait, so the collection hangs well in a hallway, on the narrow wall beside a window, or as a row of three in matching frames. A row works best when the photographs share a place: three Riviera beaches, or the Croatian streets together.
