Large framed wall art.

Photographs with distance in them: mountain ridges in layers of mist, open water seen from above, a road folding back on itself. Views chosen for a big wall, printed up to 107 × 71 cm and framed by hand.

From the house.

A detail is made for a small wall. A view is made for a large one. At 2XL and 3XL the photographs that hold their own are the ones with distance in them: land in layers, a coastline seen from height, water with no horizon to measure it. This edit gathers them.

Jordan Cahill’s mountains recede through mist in Ridge Line, Open Distance and Last Light, and his Drift looks straight down on one small boat in a great deal of blue. David Szabó’s The Hairpin turns a mountain road into a drawing, with a small red car for scale. Emma Tysinger brings the coast at full height: Cliffside Company holds a Côte d’Azur beach, its bay and the houses far above in one tall view, and Everybody Down shows a whole slope of skiers at once.

Choosing your photograph.

Measure the wall first. Above a three-seat sofa of around 200 cm, a landscape 3XL gives 107 cm of photograph before its frame, enough to hold the wall on its own. Above a two-seater or a double bed, a landscape 2XL, 91 cm wide, lands close to two thirds of the width once framed. The sizing guides for sofas and beds give the full measurements.

Portrait views such as Cliffside Company, Blue Hour Ridge and The Blue Between suit a tall wall: a stairwell, a chimney breast or the end of a corridor, where a 3XL stands 107 cm high. At these sizes a print without a white border lets a simple composition run to the frame.
