Nature is more than a green wall. This collection moves from Jordan Cahill’s water and mountain studies to Emma Tysinger’s coastal palms, blue water and winter trees and David Szabó’s autumn scene. Some photographs give the landscape the whole frame; others leave room for a small sign of people passing through it.

Choosing your photograph.

Compare three different kinds of detail: the repeated branches in Emma Tysinger’s The White Woods, the mist between Jordan Cahill’s ridges in Through the Valley, and the horse beneath golden trees in David Szabó’s Autumn keeps its own time. Each changes how much activity the photograph brings to a room.

A busy wall or a room with patterned fabrics may suit a photograph with more open space. A quieter corner can take the fine detail of trees or rock. Start with the composition you enjoy, then compare portrait and landscape formats. Coast and Mountains offer more focused routes through the landscape photographs.
